Botanical Healing Ceremony Aftercare

It was such a privilege to be your facilitating guide during your botanical healing ceremony. The aftercare of your ceremony is important for the natural healing process.

It’s quite common for feelings, attitudes and physical vitality to fluctuate at this time. Some may feel a dramatic shift immediately while others don’t feel anything and only months later will notice positive outcomes.

To get the most out of your ceremony and allow the process to fully integrate, prioritize these activities:

Schedule time for rest

Healing is hard work! One of the main goals of the ceremony is to get your body into the relaxation response so that your body can naturally heal itself. Maintaining this “allowing” state for as long as possible after your ceremony enables your body to continue with the healing process.

Journal

Journaling can help you process things that come up during ceremony. Reflect on your thoughts and emotions that come up. What is different? What still needs to be addressed?

Over time, I’m confident you’ll find that documenting your journey in this manner will help you notice that change happens little by little even though it doesn’t seem like it.

Connect with nature

Being in nature is a great way to get out of our heads and ground into the present moment. This could be as simple as taking a walk at a nearby trail or neighborhood park.

It doesn’t have to be fancy or grand. Just somewhere that has trees, dirt, grass, plants, flowers and/or wild animals. Make the most of your time in these habitats by allowing your skin (feet or hands would be best) to have direct contact with a natural element.

Focus on self-care

Self-care can be anything that meets your needs and benefits you in the long run. It can be a cup of coffee, a walk in the park or repeating daily affirmations. What matters is that you listen to yourself to take care of yourself. Follow anything that feels emotionally or physically supportive to you.

Reach out to a friend or a loved one

Reaching out to a friend or a loved one after a ceremony can be a great positive interaction and helps you decompress. AND, it reminds you that you’re not alone in the world.

You are welcome to email me at rosie@rosiechuong.com with an update on how you are doing or if you have any questions. Contact me any time right after your session or months later. I am here for you if you need me.

Drink plenty of water

Drinking enough water can help ease the detoxification process that occurs after a healing ceremony. General rule of thumb is at least half your body weight in ounces of water. BONUS: add electrolytes!

Avoid things that cause stress such as caffeine, highly processed foods, non prescribed, recreational substances including drugs and alcohol, electronics, social media and any other personal stress triggers.

Let your emotions flow

A healing ceremony can trigger deep emotional healing. Certain memories or feelings may "randomly" appear for you. It's not spontaneous at all! That means these are things that are ready to be addressed and healed at this time.

Allow these experiences to be felt and moved so that they may pass through your auric field for cleansing and healing.

If emotions that arise are uncomfortable or scary, imagine sending love to that part of you. Learning to accept and experience all your emotions is part of self love. It is okay to feel deeply. Release with love.

On-Going Support

Although not required, I invite you to share any discoveries, revelations or changes with me. This could include any thoughts, memories or emotions that crept into your consciousness. Or, document them as you move forward in your spiritual and life journey.

Also, each ceremony includes a follow up call. I’ll be checking in with you soon.

Your Personal Quest for Knowledge and Truth

Educate yourself by reading self help books, joining groups and following accounts or platforms that will support your healing. Writing has always been a huge part of my healing. Journal about your path and the things you come across and learn about.

Returning and Booking Your Follow Up

The healing process you’ll be going through after your ceremony will last beyond our initial time together. This is your journey. I trust that you’ll know when it’s time to meet again when you’re ready to work on another aspect of your healing.

While healing ceremonies are a special event, receiving regular energy healing treatments is excellent self-care, good spiritual hygiene and helps you to maintain holistic balance. I offer follow up sessions that are specifically devoted to energy healing and/or intuitive guidance for those who are looking for additional support immediately after their ceremony.

Contact me if you’d like to set up a follow up session.

Testimonials

I would love to hear about your experience! You can always email me or submit a testimonial here. Testimonials are always appreciated. Thanks in advance!
