Healing Ceremonies for Surgeries

I’ve read countless stories from healers and individuals that sometimes miracles happen when energy healing is incorporated as part of the surgery process. Results vary however a lot of the stories highlight that individuals end up not needing surgery after all or that recovery is quicker than average cases.

Although there isn’t a definitive answer as to why these miracles happen, my belief is that when individuals decide to take a holistic approach to their health and wellbeing, answers start to appear that weren’t available before.

Illness, pain and sickness are rooted in unresolved wounds, ignored behaviors, unchanged patterns and even forgotten memories. They don’t suddenly appear out of the blue, although it may seem like that physically. These symptoms develop over time as we continue to consciously or subconsciously allow certain experiences to repeat that don’t serve our highest timeline.

We Usually Receive Answers In Our Darkest Hours

When someone enlists surgery to help with their situation, this is usually a last, often extreme, measure when all other options have been exhausted or aren’t possible due to timing, resources and other barriers.

At the point of this “last resort,” there’s a “surrender” and a “trust” coming from the individual that may have not truly been intact up until the hour before the surgical operation. This could look like accepting a circumstance, opening up to the unknown, putting our faith/fate in the hands of a greater source or seriously promising to make life changes for their greatest good.

Because that surrender/trust is finally there, a soul lesson is complete, which sometimes causes the sickness to “disappear” rendering the need for operation to be useless.

From what I’ve observed, sometimes our most drastic, desperate hours are when we receive the most profound guidance that heals or starts to heal these physical ailments.

Healing Ceremonies Before, During and After Surgery

There are a few ways you can incorporate working with a healer as part of your “big day.”

Before or Pre-Surgery: A healing ceremony can help you prepare for your surgery by putting you into a natural, relaxed state. This makes it easier for the body to “allow” and receive support from the other side while undergoing operation.

During Surgery: There are times when maybe you’d want a healer to send you healing energy at the time of your surgery, as extra support from the other side. This is especially helpful for those undergoing life or death, high-risk surgeries.

After or Post-Surgery: Perhaps you’d like to incorporate a ceremony after your surgery to help make the recovery process more manageable. Similar to a pre-surgery ceremony, this, too, can help your body maintain an “allowance” state to continue healing.

Testimonial about a healing ceremony after eye surgery

“The day after I had surgery, I saw Rosie for an energy healing session. Together, we created a beautiful botanical offering to my guides and loved ones. When I laid down on the table, I immediately felt a gentle, warming energy run through me.As Rosie guided me through the active breathwork portion of the session, I felt a lightness in my heart and crown chakras. The effects continued for days, allowing me a nearly pain-free recovery from my surgery. When I went to have my stitches removed (usually an uncomfortable experience), the nurse said she had never seen them come out so easily! Rosie's ability to bring healing, love, and connection through her sessions is unsurpassed.”

- Mei, Healing Ceremony Testimonial

This experience working with Mei is a great example of the possibilities for recovery when incorporating energy healing* as a holistic approach to surgeries. Specifically for Mei and their circumstances, we incorporated pomegranate flower essence in addition to crafting a beautiful, nurturing container to help them continue their recovery process.

*Although breathwork is a major component to my ceremonial offerings, the style of breathing and length of time was adjusted in Mei’s ceremony for safety reasons. We approached our session with a softer, gentler, yin approach more appropriate for recovery. The primary focus was to send/receive healing energy in collaboration with their Spirit Family.

The type of energy healing in ceremonies intended for surgeries will differ depending on what kind of surgery it is and when the ceremony takes place (before, during, after). For Mei’s ceremony, and for all post-surgical circumstances, it’s not recommended for individuals to practice an intensive, active 3-part style of breathing until they’re fully recovered.
