4 Stages You’ll Experience When Using Flower Essences

There are two primary outcomes when using flower essences: immediate, often subtle, relief and/or deep and transformative healing.

If you’re more interested in the latter, it’s important you know what to expect so that you can be prepared for your healing journey.

Scenarios Prompted by Flower Essences

When using flower essences to assist with profound healing work, you’ll likely face any or all of the following scenarios:

DREAMS

You’ll have a vivid and significant dream where you’ll wake up knowing a key message. Sometimes, the dream itself is the healing experience. Or, it could be that the dream narrative will trigger what you need to address once you wake up. [ Read this blog about the cherry essence and what it revealed to me in dreams ]

FEELINGS

A repressed feeling that can no longer be ignored will rise up from beneath the surface. This means you’ll have to be in your feelings and actually feel what you’ve been avoiding.

MEMORIES

Dormant memories, including forgotten ones, may suddenly appear which prompts your triggers. This could happen in waking or dream life.

SITUATIONS

A situation presents itself for you to exercise an evolved response or perspective. I like to call this your “declaration” to reclaim back your power. When facing these purposeful situations, you’ll witness an active transformation of your character as you decide to choose differently instead of recycling old thought patterns or behaviors.

Four (4) Stages of How You’ll Respond to Flower Essences

The following information is adapted from “Stages of Flower Essence Response (Four R’s)” which is written material by Patricia Kaminski.

Stage One: Release

As mentioned previously, one of the primary experiences of flower essences is noticing immediate, often subtle, relief. This is when that usually happens. There are many sensations you could feel including:

  • A release of excess or stagnant energy

  • Relaxed in the body, even wanting to fall asleep

  • A “wavy” feeling which is not the same as being nauseous, but almost as if a person is “high” on alcohol, psychedelics or other drugs

  • Super calm and at peace

  • Revitalizing of life force energy, having more stamina

These symptoms can be short-lived. These shifts are taking place as the energetic relationship between the etheric body and the soul realigns itself.

Stage Two: Realize

Once past the “physical” observations, you may begin noticing shifts in your mental body. Cognitive responses are easier to identify including:

  • Increased clarity or able to “see things clearly” or objectively

  • Easier to hold focus for a certain amount of time and less brain fog

  • More creative expression or feeling as if a lot of downloads are coming in

  • Able to sort through thoughts without being overwhelmed

In this stage, flower essences help us critically analyze certain behaviors and feelings and assist in developing alternative choices and solutions.

Stage Three: Respond

Working with the essences follow two main natural cycles as illustrated below.

Whether starting with the upward or downward trend, you’ll eventually notice a “dip” in your mood. It may seem as if the conditions or situations have worsened or as if you perhaps have regressed back to where you were before you were enjoying the benefits of the essences.

To effectively integrate true changes, conscious choices must be made and declared. Often, this means you’ll have to revisit the original wounding (or trauma) that is the root cause of the issue you’re trying to address. Doing so helps you arrive at that “aha” moment, the epiphany, where you’re aware of a renewed perspective or understanding that may have not been possible previously. [ I go over the purpose of encountering similar situations in this blog about Lesson Learning ]

The “response” stage is where you’ll likely experience any or all of the four scenarios mentioned earlier. This is what addresses underlying or unhealed aspects of the soul that’s still stored in the energetic body.

Stage Four: Rebirth

While stage three is more about the “clearing” or the “death” cycle, stage four is usually where rebirth takes place. This is when you get to witness the emergence of a more integrated you. This could be character transformation, sense of renewal or a reclamation of your power, all of which was only possible through inner work.

Your Healing Journey with Flower Essences

Because such earnest, intense and heartfelt healing can happen with flower essences, it’s important to document your experiences. This will help you understand what you’re going through as the stages or scenarios present themselves. This is also why working with a practitioner would be incredibly beneficial and supportive for your journey.

Keep a journal nearby and try writing about what you’re going through daily. You’ll find that change is happening right before you!
