For the Ritz Paris, being reborn in the same place the first birth took place, the City of Light, was of course going to unfold in the grandest of ways. Through fresh restoration, the Ritz Paris reopened its doors in summer of 2016 for guests to rediscover what has always been there, incomparable savoir-faire and unmistakable French art de vivre.
Rooms are reminiscent and furnished according to the personality of celebrated guests such as Marcel Proust, Frédéric Chopin, Coco Chanel and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor adding a sense of character and inviting provocation of history for globetrotters who book their stay at this Parisian institution. Somewhere at the hotel, there is a romantic glass canopy, a “window to the sky.” According to the hotel, “By day, it is bathed in light. By night, it kisses the stars.” And yet, despite all the beautiful renovations, the Ritz Paris unfailingly remains a timeless getaway.
