It was a ten year anniversary homecoming to London for designer duo Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman launching their spring/summer 2015 collection at the opulent Banqueting House. It was inspired by a ‘modern-gypsy Woodstock spirit’, full of whimsy bohemian charm and craftsmanship.
Georgia May Jagger opened the show in a white, tiered lace and tulle gown, with woven floral embroidery throughout sections of the dress. While certainly sweet and delicate in its palette and embroideries, the collection was fit for the modern rebel princess as most pieces were as sexy and bold as they were feminine and fragile.
Drama was added in numerous ways, a personal favorite being the rich bursts of colors (like the floral embellished clutch), billowy sleeves, and mountains of ruffles.
The label’s signature feminine aesthetic was most memorable in the dusty rose tulle gown, with its plunging v-neck and romantic full skirt, detailed with pastel feathers, crystals and a floral crafted headpiece. And again, it is proven that fairy tales can come true with Marchesa…
