This weekend got away from us (M & I) in the most unexpected of ways, but by Sunday night, we were both reminded of the things that we are working towards in our lives as individuals, but also as together in our own world. And while we are all busy creating our own personal kingdoms, for the greater good, the weekend could not have served a better purpose than to refuel our minds, bodies and souls with the kind of energy that could only come from spending time with one another.
On Saturday, a friendsgiving potluck encouraged the risk of trying a new stuffing recipe, and while the concept was worthwhile, the execution and combination of rustic ingredients provided a lackluster dish…but there is always a next time for better recipes to try! Other than that, this weekend was rather quiet and mostly spent away from technology in a rather strategic sense and am now more equipped to tackle this new Monday and all the projects to unfold as the week comes along.
Speaking of friendsgiving and spending time with loved ones, these photos are inspirational to the space that my sister and I would like to create for our home for the next three holidays – cannot wait for it all to come together!
The peach chair below reminds of a particular tufted antique chair that I always run into while antique shopping, the silver pieces on the golden mahogany dresser is exactly what is on my inspiration board for an upcoming project for my room, there are plans of incorporating skinny taper candles on the walls along the halls and on the dining table and there are dreams of peony season arriving sooner rather than later…excitement for my most favorite time of the year has begun to unravel as I write and share with you on SCL and hoping that your Monday is on the perfect path.
